The Days Before

This acoustic collection features some of my earliest work. All the songs were written between 1998 and 1999, apart from "Chasing Gold" and "Rain On Me", which came a little later in 2001. All of these songs were originally recorded as 4-track demos on a cassette portastudio and very few people ever heard them.

Revisiting them in 2016, I made these acoustic recordings not intending for them to end up on an album. I'd always had in mind to record my songs both acoustically and with fuller band arrangements and let the people decide which they prefer. So an acoustic album or two was always in the pipeline. Listening back to these two years later, in 2018, I realised they were worth putting out as they were.
