After travelling Europe for over a year and finding themselves in Paris again come November, and with an old but new 6-string friend joining them, the scene was set for SoulJahm's first recording. Walking through the Parisian streets and inspired by the Christmas window displays, another old friend decided it was time to revisit them. The song "Christmas (C'mon)" was originally written in November 2003 in Edinburgh, Scotland by David William (of SoulJahm), a few years before his 2006 "One Way Ticket" album.

It was a surprise to find the song re-emerging in November 2011, with only a week left in Paris, and immediately after arrival of David's guitar from Edinburgh, but SoulJahm followed through. That day felt like Christmas morning as a child, and before they even had time to think about it, SoulJahm found themselves laying down tracks for the song in the tiny one-room Parisian apartment they were staying in with nothing more than a laptop and one microphone.

In the middle of the process they headed to Berlin where recording was completed, mixed and mastered.
